That this was made in 2 days is pretty impressive!
I really like the setting of this, but I do wish that there was a bit more in this, maybe a second ending or smth like that. However for what it is, it is pretty good! I love the gameplay idea of utilizing a Ouija board, because with each question you get a feeling of uncertainty to what the answer could be.
I will say this though; the amount of flashing/flickerin lights is a bit much, a warning before starting the game or a accessibility feature for those who need it would be greatly appreciated!
Also, I think the description is wrong: "WASD / Left Joystick - Move" and "Mouse / Left Joystick - Look", shouldn't it be Left and Right. I have not played with a controller, but I thought I would add this here just in case!
*Possible very vague spoilers* Wasn't too bad of a game, a really short horror experience, I can see where it would be creepy and give those chills to some. It looks pretty good! The room environment looks good, the smokiness, the style then fan that is still creaking until this day. I played through the game twice to see if there was another ending or interesting route with the answers. I want to put my thoughts here but they would be spoilers so, those are, as usual, at the end of the video. But what I will say while trying to be vague, I know this game was made in 48 hrs but I like to look past that for a future, but beefing up somethings, like events, adding a reasons to leave the table, more "danger," different answer routes that matter and increase the atmosphere panic/chills pressure twisted with the terror that Ouwongy Boards bring people and this could be a very terrifying short! I do like the game and the idea! I can see Joseph Whitehead can definitely craft some good liking short horror and look forward to see what pops out next!
Had to try this game out, had a blast playing this. I was only confused when I was using the crucifix but nothing happened. Guess I just had to spam click. GOOD GAME! <3 Timelapse is: 29:14
This game had the tension high! It was a little too dark and too short. I really wished there was more! The creepy atmosphere was great and I didn’t know if I was doing the ending right so I was terrified the whole time.
Great concept and so neat and clear for a 48 hour game - straighforward, well written, the pacing is perfect and I love that the plaque is realistically slow, it increases the tension. I enjoyed this a lot.
